This is gonna be a long week.

I left work about half an hour ago. As I was preparing to leave, a couple people arrived with sleeping bags and started setting them up outside our main doors.

Guys. Eclipse doesn't open for another twenty-three hours!

I don't know, but the closer we get to it, the more annoyed I am. Not so much because it's interfering with Eclipse, because whatever, but because this always happens. Like, remember when I booked all those days off last November so I could study for the JLPT and then I ended up having to work half of them anyway? It's just really annoying working somewhere where booking off a day apparently doesn't mean anything.

I find it particularly bad on nights when J does the schedule. Like, he can see that we've booked something off, but he knows that we'll say yes if he asks us in person, so he just goes ahead and schedules us that way.

What I especially hate is booking a day off and then getting officially scheduled for it. If it's just J asking, you can say no (you're good at saying no, right?), but if it's officially scheduled it's OUR responsibility to fix it. My favourite thing was when I was scheduled to work while in Oregon JUST BECAUSE J didn't look at my availability. I had to come in physically and ask him to change it.

At least J doesn't try to guilt trip you, like I know some of the other managers do.
