I find it particularly bad on nights when J does the schedule. Like, he can see that we've booked something off, but he knows that we'll say yes if he asks us in person, so he just goes ahead and schedules us that way.
What I especially hate is booking a day off and then getting officially scheduled for it. If it's just J asking, you can say no (you're good at saying no, right?), but if it's officially scheduled it's OUR responsibility to fix it. My favourite thing was when I was scheduled to work while in Oregon JUST BECAUSE J didn't look at my availability. I had to come in physically and ask him to change it.
At least J doesn't try to guilt trip you, like I know some of the other managers do.
