1) Today is Mozart's two hundred and fiftieth birthday. But how can we be sure? I think we should get some genetic evidence. Oh, I know! Let's dig up his father! That'll do. And his sister, of course. His mother, if we can manage it. It is of extreme importance that we verify this man's birthday. And of course we'll have to dig up his wife. Collect them all, that sort of thing.

YES I AM STILL BITTER

2) Yahoo! Mail keeps showing advertisements for Victoria's Secret, and I wish they wouldn't. Not because it's degrading to women or anything like that - mostly because the last thing I need when I am checking my e-mail at school is half-naked ladies on the screen.

3) An embarrassing conversation (from yesterday) begun because my father wants to take me to Europe and I don't have any huge desire to go to Europe --

Sarah: I remembered one place you can take me in Europe.
Dad: Where?
Sarah: Vienna.
Dad: Why? Because today - tomorrow is an anniversary? Why not Salzburg?
Sarah: Salzburg is good, too.
Dad: Why?
Sarah: You guessed already.
Dad: Because today is an anniversary?
Sarah: Tomorrow.
Dad: It's already tomorrow in Salzburg.

I AM THE BIGGEST POSER IN THE ENTIRE WORLD EVER

I wish I had a better reason for going to Europe than "Well, I do like that movie ..."

(Also, Troy.)

4) I have to go to class~~~~~! *runs away*

Hmm. Perhaps I should make a real entry here.

I wish I didn't talk about TV and J-pop in here so much, but at least I can hide it all behind a cut. )

Now that that's all done with, let's see. I voted today. I was going to talk more about my classes but I don't feel like it. I got Tarzan of the Apes out of the library. I read it when I was in eighth grade but I don't remember it very well except that I liked it even for all its strangeness. I like how sci-fi-y books from that era just do whatever they please. Well, I mean, I don't know much about them and am very much an outsider, but books like that and even Around the World in Eighty Days, where when they don't know certain things they just make them up. It reminds me of how I used to write when I was in middle school, but not in a bad way. Just like, the need for research won't stop my creativity!!! Not that I pay attention to the facts in my writing now anyway. OF COURSE JESSE WOULD BREAK BOTH HIS ARMS WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT.

Oh! I forgot! My big news is that I am twelve years old. Some lady came to the door on Saturday handing out pamphlets for the Conservatives, and when I answered the door (admittedly a rare thing) she asked, "Are your parents home?" And then today at school some guy was handing out pamphlets for the Green Party, and he totally skipped me! Most obviously so! So yeah. If you ever want to come see me, I should be easy to find, seeing as I'll be the only twelve-year-old wandering around campus ...

I have been dating all my writing since November. At some point I will get around to typing it up and I will see how much I actually write. I sort of kept a record of my word counts in summer 2004, but only sort of. It was really loose. This one will be SCIENTIFIC.

Also, I am getting really antsy re: the JLPT results. I want to know if I passed, man!! ;_;

Edit: I forgot I forgot! A week before the Soup Nazi I went to see Jack Layton (mostly for the novelty -- the most exciting bit was that we had to sneak around the side of the building and peer in the windows in order to see him), and then last night people were getting phone calls with a recording of his voice being all "vote for me!," and my grandmother totally hung up on him because her dinner was getting cold!! Hahahahahahaha MOST EXCELLENT.

Now that Amadeus has been on The Daily Show and Morning Musume has been on The Colbert Report, I ... I guess I can stop watching television.

Man.

Edit: I wish I was still in Calgary like I was this morning. :(

So this summer I made one hundred Amadeus icons in ten weeks. YES I KNOW SHUT UP!! Anyway, some of them are much nicer than others, but I don't usually make a huge amount of icons so a lot of this was experimentation.

Batch #1: at amadeus_mozart // at icons100
Batch #2: at amadeus_mozart // at icons100
Batch #3: at amadeus_mozart // at icons100
Batch #4: at amadeus_mozart // at icons100
Batch #5: at amadeus_mozart // at icons100

My favourites. )

Athena is going to make fun of me for this entry, I just know it.

(This entry was started at 2:04am and finished at 3:53am. I got up at 2:30pm today and am still wide awake, although feeling slightly queasy. BOOYAH.)

CYNTHIA NIXON PLAYED LORL.

THERE IS NO FONT BIG ENOUGH TO EXPRESS MY !!!!!!!!!!!!NESS.

Whenever I saw pictures from Sex and the City I would always think she looked familiar, but MAN. They got me good.

... Crazy.

I just found, by complete and total accident, the Amadeus script online, with the difficult words translated into Japanese. Or sometimes easier English phrases, hahaha, awesome! Obviously this is the coolest thing ever. Yes, all but one scene lacks any sort of line break, and it never says who's talking, but seriously, whatever. It is awesome of the most awesomest kind.

Hahahahahaha I can't even stop reading it. Man. Awesome.

Also tomorrow I am going to see the Interceptor! I win forever. XDXD!!

My brother's girlfriend is here again. I saw them through the window so when they opened the door I shouted "hi!" and their names and my brother said "You're kinda creepy, you know" and I said "I WAS WATCHING YOU!!!" and my brother's girlfriend said "I don't think you're creepy" and I said "Thank you." I know this makes for fascinating reading, you don't have to tell me.

Edit: I never ever noticed this before, but in Amadeus, the shot when his dad comes to visit and there are the two wine glasses on the harpsichord? In the background there is a birdcage with a bird in it! A pet bird!! That is the most adorable thing ever ever ever!!

Also a pen has now been through our washing machine. The inside of the dryer is striped in blue. I think it's rather artistic. My mother does not agree.

In the provincial election on Tuesday we have to vote for whether or not we want this thing called the STV, and I don't care what it stands for, it is seriously the most unfortunate name ever.

Jeff, please tell me who to vote for, because I seriously have no clue. I am using my Amadeus icon to represent my confusion. Scribbling and bibbling INDEED!

Also a censored Airplane is on TV. <33333

I have to write something else here otherwise my <3s won't show up.

Last night Amadeus was on the TeeVee! :D It seems to be Bravo and History Television's favourite way to fill up three hours. It really weirds me out that I keep catching it, though, because I never ever saw it on the TeeVee before I saw it on video, and now it's on all the time!! Crazy. They always start it way late though, so last night I only watched up to the beginning of the Marriage of Figaro arc. Oh well~.

I think I left the closed captions on the TeeVee! Hahahahahahahahahaha oops! XDXDXDXD

Today I might get my hair cut. I just don't have the motivation to actually get up out of this chair. Waugh ...

Mozart's birthday is the day after Ellen DeGeneres' birthday. Shut up, it's funny. XD;;

Twice in the past week I have been asked if I was in French immersion, which is interesting because I so totally wasn't. Someone in my Japanese class is completely impressed that in my French lit. we're going to read a novel. I'm just like, man, how long have I been studying French again? Please don't be deceived by any French language ability I may appear to have, as I am really not as smart as you think! x_x;;;

Although I did get 21/20 on last week's test, wahahaha. Only because I bugged the teacher about it. Being annoying pays off? And yesterday in my lit. class the prof was all "What's the word that we can use to contrast Mme. Aubain's grief with Félicité's?" and I was like, "Désespoir!" and he was all "Exactly!" hahaha.* And I talked a bunch in the lab today without sounding too stupid, I think. Although I did hit my stupidity quotient for the day in the actual class, oh yes. But then the prof gave us all sucre à la crème, which is basically my favourite food in the entire universe, so even though I was most definitely never in French immersion, I am very happy with my French classes right now. XD

(My mother thinks I am making too big a deal out of the immersion questions. Hmmmm ... probably. XD; )

* We are reading Flaubert's short story «Un Coeur Simple» (hahaha, look what fancy code I learned to make the guillemets!) and I honestly adore it, which is nice, because all through Balzac's «Facino Cane» I wanted to punch someone.

Narrator: I'm a creepy stalker.
Facino Cane: Let me tell you of my WACKY ADVENTURES.
[Facino Cane tells of his WACKY ADVENTURES.]
Facino Cane: Help me find my treasure and you'll be rich.
Narrator: Okay.
[Facino Cane DIES.]
Narrator: Darn it.

Ah, yes. It is surely a good thing I am not a lit. major of any sort. XD;;;;;;;

Yesterday I got up at seven, felt sick, went back to bed, woke up at five, felt better, watched Prisoner of Azkaban in French, watched the end of Aladdin on CBC, watched Troy in French until scene 24 started skipping (!?!?), watched the end of Aladdin on ABC, watched Pirates of the Caribbean in French, went to bed at twelve-thirty, dreamt I was watching Amadeus in French. (After all the French-dubbed movies, I had sort of expected a bad dream in French, but talk about lame.) And now I am avoiding my French homework while listening to "Dragostea Din Tei" on repeat and pretending it's in English, because it's funny that way!

As you can plainly see, I am a college girl gone wild. XDXDXDXDXDXD!!!!

I love how all movies about Mozart have the same title but in different languages. You know, just to mix it up a bit. Okay, so I only actually know of two movies about Mozart, but it's still funny!!! XD;;;;;

Amadeus uses more synonyms for "very good" than any other movie I have ever seen.

But maybe there aren't as many synonyms for "very good" in Spanish? "Maravilloso" kept popping up in the subtitles, hehe.

It amuses me!! XD~

Bleh, today I am to work at my friend's family's sushi bar for five hours because said friend called me yesterday sounding very stressed and panicked. I hope her family knows I don't have the foggiest idea about making sushi! But I guess she'll be there and will be willing to teach me. If not, I will be completely useless. :X

-Amadeus- and poetry :) )

Okay yeah. I gotta go get me some breakfast. :D
