So I went to the library. What an adventure! Even though you can see this building from my house I only narrowly avoided getting myself hopelessly lost. I must drill it into my head: turn at the second crossing, the second crossing!! X)
And T was there, so that was a nice surprise. Her ten-year-old brother is reading Le Morte d'Arthur. Oh man, when I was ten I was devouring the Baby-Sitters Club books. I feel so inadequate!
Hmm, walking to the library reminds me of summer ... I guess because the first summer we were here, all I did was go to the library and read read read. My favourite part of Matilda is the part where she discovers the library. For the first eleven years of my life, that was me. Then I discovered the Internet and am struggling to get back to the bookworld. Yesh!
This entry is super disjointed. I am now reading Gone With the Wind. When I returned home my mother grabbed my bag of books and was impressed by the weight. Apparently Gone With the Wind is one of her favourite books ever. Hmm. I also got something by Wodehouse and something about French and something about riddles and something by Diana Wynne Jones and something about stupid parts of English. And if I turns out that I don't go anywhere this year, I have discovered that I could get a job at the library. So that's cool. I tried to use the fancy new machine they had there for taking out books but it refused my library card, shooing me away with a "Patron has aged. Seek thee out a library employee." It was quite confusing. I got a new library card because I have turned sixteen. I can now take out videos and CDs and all that fun stuff! But I did not get to use the new machine. What a disappointment.
... I'm done now.
