Dear Sarah,

I am sorry to inform you that the course of Korean for Beginners - Part 1 (ASLA009) for which you have registered has been cancelled due to insufficient enrolment.

I am srsly wondering how many of the other language classes are going to get cancelled, because some of the choices look slightly more obscure (NOT THE WORD I WANT but the word I'm going with) than Korean: Finnish, Hungarian, Swedish. I mean, I've never seen a selection of for-the-public language classes this large before, so I wasn't hugely surprised to see one of them get cancelled, but STILLLLLLL. ;_;

Aaaaaaaah, I was depending on you to learn it and then teach me how to say "Good morning", aaaaaaah!

In all seriousness, that really sucks. >.< You should move to UBC~ :p

I may or may not have bought a beginner's Korean textbook using an Amazon.ca gift certificate I got for my birthday, so maybe I'll still be able to teach you soon enough! lol. I would've preferred to have a class though. :P Maybe I'll just have to find myself a tutor when I stop being so broke~ ...

And obviously I should!!! D:

Eeeeexcellent.

Or you could just make friends with some Koreans and then pick their brains for free, yay!

Lol. It would be awesome and you know it~

"PICK THEIR BRAINS" IS MY LEAST FAVOURITE PHRASE EVERRRRR

WHERE IS THE DISLIKE BUTTON?!?!?!?!

I do actually have a couple Korean friends, but through various circumstances I haven't seen either of them in forever. SAD FACE :(

The coordinator of these classes just called me to make sure I knew the class was cancelled, and he mentioned that only three people had signed up for it. THREE?!?!?!?!?! Srsly, Victoria, get with it!!

AHAHAHA. *ZOMBIES AT YOU*

Awww, that's too bad. *sad faces with you*

Lol. I can see why they canceled it, then. Is there some reason they couldn't roll it in with an undergrad class, or does that include UVic students?

UVic doesn't usually offer Korean classes at all, which is why I was so excited to find this one!! :(

That's just odd. I mean, Korean is not that obscure. It's not like they said 'your class in Super-advanced Tibetan' got cancelled.

Now that you mention it, one of my friends actually took a Tibetan class through the local community centre (although admittedly it was a beginner's class) a couple years ago. How does that get more people registering for it than a beginner's Korean class, I have no idea.
