To be totally honest I would love to be back in school right now, but definitely a benefit of being out of school is if you want to go somewhere, you can!
I like that everyone is so happy at this news, it makes me doubly happy. :D
From what I know, MiceAge focuses mainly on Disneyland. And more importantly, Disney hasn't made its official announcement yet. So to be honest I'm expecting it to return to Epcot as well. I mean I could be wrong, but if I am I'll be surprised. :X
Captain EO is a Disney park attraction that had its first run in the parks from 1986 to the late '90s; it's a seventeen-minute 3-D movie produced by George Lucas, directed by Francis Ford Coppola, and starring Anjelica Huston and Michael Jackson. Since MJ died, there has been a lot of speculation as to whether or not Disney would bring it back as some sort of tribute, and omg I have definitely been pulling for its return. It is super '80s and ridiculous but I love it! You can actually watch it on YouTube if you've never seen it before. :3
Ridonkulous story: when I was seven, we went to Disneyland and watched Captain EO, but I got scared by the 3-D effects pretty early into the film and ended up covering my face through most of the movie. When I was nine and all MJ-crazy, I got SUPER ANGRY at my seven-year-old self for missing out on it!! So basically I have been regretting not properly enjoying this attraction for THIRTEEN YEARS. So yes, I am impossibly stoked that I shall now have the chance to see it for realz. :D (Because apparently there were a whole bunch of effects in the theatre that you can't experience via YouTube, haha!)
Ugh ... I hope you know what you've done to me since MJ died. I just spent the last 10 minutes watching this clip with Blood on the Dance Floor blaring in the background.
MY AGGRO-POWER METALHEAD SENSIBILITIES ARE DEEPLY DISTURBED BY THIS.
If the report's true, I gotta bum a ride with you. :D I need to watch this in its full glory again and actually be able to tell what's going on this time! Would be the only excuse for me to visit Disneyland again after more than a decade.
Would love to! I think there should be a gathering of fans to see it together when it reopens. I already have a feeling people are probably organizing it as I speak, lol.
Oh, I used to visit Disneyland every year when I was a kid. Loved it, but the travel, food, lines, and other kids cutting in line for autographs and stuff turned me off to it for a while. :P I'm sure as an adult now, the experience will be MUCH different. ;)
I've definitely seen people talking about a meet-up when EO reopens, although I haven't seen any concrete plans yet. Hopefully when we get more info about the reopening, things will start coming together. :)
And okay, that makes sense. I don't mind the lines because they're pretty well a necessity (and I'm lucky enough that so far no one has ever cut in front of me), but yeah, the travel and the food are not my favourite parts of a Disney trip. :P

Oh man, I so don't understand this way of thinking. If I lived anywhere near a Disney park I would be there once a month, at least! ^^;
