Five questions for me from sourfacekitty! :D

1. Do you have any pets?
In the past my family has had a cat and two guinea pigs. Up until a couple weeks ago I had a creepy but awesome tank of Sea Monkeys. Then my brother flushed them when I was at work, because he is a jerk. :(

2. What is your favorite Miley song?
My favourite Miley song is definitely "Start All Over." I actually wrote about this song way back in this entry, but to sum up, I just love that it's a song about looking forward to "another chance to get burned."

My second favourite Miley song is probably "Rock Star," because it just makes me really happy. xD I also really like "East Northumberland High" because when I first heard it I could kinda-sorta relate to it.

My LEAST favourite Miley song is "The Climb," only because it was featured for a good two months on the lobby DVD of the theatre I work at, which meant that I had to hear it in full every twenty minutes for eight hours five days a week. (I have a growing list of songs that I dislike simply for this reason.) My co-workers and I now have this song completely memorized, it's hilarious.

3. How long have you been a fan of Michael?
hahaha since forever. xD I liked him when I was a kid, I was obsessed in late elementary/early middle school, and I confess I kind of drifted away after that but I never completely stopped listening to his music or paying attention to him. (Everything I know about the way trials work I learned from watching his. :/ ) This past month and a half I've been discovering tons of songs I never heard before; in a way I feel like I'm becoming a fan all over again. xD

And while we're on the subject, reason a trillion why MJ is awesome: I was listened to "HIStory" last night for the first time in like twelve years, and I was listening very hard to all the dates that are said in that song because I wanted to see if I could recognize more of them at age twenty-two than at age ten. Sadly I don't think I recognized that much more of them. >:/ But it was so hilarious to me because a lot of the dates are Important Historical Things like the beginning of the Great Depression, or the day the Berlin Wall came down, and then right in the middle of the song is July 17, 1955. DISNEY PARKS FAN REPRESENT--!! xDD

4. What upsets you the most about life?
When people get angry over things that don't matter, or when they get angry over important problems and then don't do anything to try to fix those problems.

When bad things happen to good people.

5. What do you miss about being a little kid (age 1 - 10)?
It is actually really dangerous for me to watch old home videos or flip through old photo albums, because if I start to get even a little bit nostalgic it tends to turn into a depression that lasts for days. I miss things too easily you guys. :(

I guess what I miss most about being a kid is that I don't think I worried so much when I was younger. Like, I just did whatever I felt like doing, without worrying whether or not I was spending my time wisely, and in a weird way I think this meant that I actually used to spend my time a lot better. In a similar vein, I miss not having to work, or spend hours desperately trying to figure out what I want for a career, or other annoying grown-up topics like that. D:<

I would cry if someone flushed my sea monkeys down the toilet. I take pets v. srsly. Even if it was a pet rock, and someone put it back outside, I'd probably go out and find it again.\

1. Of all the classes that you took over the course of your illustrious university career, which was your favourite?

4. If you were to get another pet, what would you get and what would you name it?

Q1. Of all the classes that you took over the course of your illustrious university career, which was your favourite?

A: Hmm, I'm really torn here between classes that were in my field of study, and my electives. For my field of study, I'd say Phonology. I liked this class for lots of reasons. I had friends in it, it made sense to my (then new) logic based mindset and I was good at it! Phonology was really one of the main aspects of Linguistics that continues to intrigue as well as challenge me.
Outside of my field, I'd say Ceramics. I only took a single ceramics course, but everthing about it was perfect for me. I took it in the summer time, so all my memories of the class are linked to the joys of a carefree summer. At the time I had just finished a very labour intensive semester and was starved for some sort of creative outlet. Even now I want to play with clay, but victoria seriously lacs the venues.

A: Tokyo Disney! because A: I'm hitting two birds with one stone here. Japan, and Disney.

A. Hmmm, Probably, another Kitty. I love kitties, there are never enough. and I'd name them ... boy= pancake girl= cupcake

I know this is the most random and NOT at all enlightening lyric, but every time I hear this song on my iPod I feel funky and can't help but strut a little when I walk down the street.


p.s. Weird Al's version of Bad where he mentions starving children in Japan had me convinced that Japan was a 3rd world country for my relatively young years.

I actually think this might've been the first song of his I heard the day he died ... because soon after hearing the news I had to go to work, and at the end of the night my manager had this playing on her iPod. I've never been able to decide whether or not I like this song, though!! Sometimes I do ... ? :P

hahaha, I knoooow! >xD I was listening to that song recently and I was like, Al, you do know that Japan isn't exactly known for its starving children, right? I assume he only used Japan because it's faraway and it rhymed. ^^;
