So my today started very uneventfully, and then went off in an unexpected direction!

I slept in, got up, logged onto the Intermentz (THAT IS A REAL COMMERCIAL, YOU GUYS! my brother and I saw it on the TV and everything!!), washed my hair, went to school (miraculously not missing my bus!! I actually got to the stop at the most perfect moment and only had to wait maybe two minutes before the bus arrived, it was amazing), had my first taste of Red Bull (thanks to [livejournal.com profile] leaf_green, who was paid a visit by the Red Bull fairy that likes to stalk our campus - I have been rather afraid of this drink since watching the Reba episode in which she drinks a whole can and then says she feels like her heart is going to burst out of her chest. Now I am confused as to how someone could stomach a whole can of the stuff, because it wasn't Buckley's bad, but nor would I say it was good), wrote our Japanese Lit. final and felt as though everything I learned in that class had flown right out of my head, learned that I got a mark of 25/30 on that essay I ranted about last week (not an amazing mark but decidedly better than I deserved!), got to leave class an hour and a half earlier than most Wednesdays, rode the bus with [livejournal.com profile] the_wykydtron who is very nice about being ranted at haha, was sad when she had to get off the bus, and then disembarked at the mall that sorta kinda not really houses the movie theater where I work.

I went to Zellers where I bought Enchanted for myself (FINALLY! I was waiting for Disney Movie Club to offer it with some sort of bonus but then I ran out of patience) and Stardust for my mom, who is still in the process of recovering from surgery. :( Then I went to the theater, and this is where it gets interesting!! Originally I was just going to grab my schedule and go home, but then I was like, "Well, I might as well see Jumper and finally get it out of my system!!" So I went to box office, where I talked to a co-worker of mine who is currently in her last year at my high school. In her English class they are doing some poetry stuff or something for which they had to take a couple books out of the library, and she grabbed everyone's favourite book Naming the Baby, scrolled down the table of contents to see if she knew everyone, and of course she found me. xD; AHAHAHAHAHA every time something like this happens it surprises me so much!! Man, the stuff I wrote in Writing 12 is going to haunt me forever!!! XD And I totally love it but it makes me feel like a real slacker at the same time, because I haven't got anything published since then. :X Well that's not what I wanted to talk about. Box had a bit of a line-up when I got my tickets so I left her alone, but after the movie there was nobody there so I went to talk to my co-worker again, and she said she hasn't read all of my story "Adelante" yet but she read the first paragraph, did a double-take, read it again, and thought to herself, "Hm. Oranges, huh?"

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Oh gosh. Perfect reaction. I love it. xD

I warned her to please keep in mind that I wrote this four years ago and have hopefully improved since then. And also that this is the story my dad refuses to read because of said first paragraph. xD hahaha check how I am assuming everyone who reads my LJ has read "Adelante" as well. Oh, I do still quite like that story, but yes, I admit to being a little embarrassed of it four years after it was written. ^^; I'm in that stage where it's quite difficult for me to read it without wanting to rewrite it, but it would be kinda hard to rewrite it because the older version will forever be out there, haunting me ...

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA oranges. xDDDDD

WELL I don't think it's that racy a first paragraph, it's just that when it's ME who wrote it I don't think people expect that sort of thing. xD;;;

So after I got my ticket I went over to Pizza Hut where K was working, yay!! :D She is going to Disneyland in June and the plan has changed a bit so she's now leaving California two days before her birthday, but I told her to go to City Hall and get a birthday button anyway. xD I hope she remembers!! haha I better remind her again before she goes. I really enjoyed chatting with her and her Hut co-worker C, a girl who seems really awesome but who I only know a little bit, from the times that we've happened to go on break together. Only, only, K broke her vow to keep a secret and spilled that one of our co-workers has "the biggest crush on" me.

AHAHAHA, this + my going out for lunch twice with one of my male classmates (lolz, it went like this: "Wanna come to Tim Horton's with me?" "Sure!" "... I did mention I'm engaged, right?" HAHAHA I wasn't planning on hitting on you, dude; I didn't even wash my hair that morning, let's be serious xDD; ) + [livejournal.com profile] the_wykydtron and betaraider's musings about me dating = make me feel like I am all of a sudden all popular with teh boys. ^^;;;

At the moment I'm going to be frustratingly vague and not write any more about this crushing co-worker ... But it will be very interesting to see what happens next. x)

And then I finally saw Jumper! Which was not as fantastic as I had expecting it to be. :/ I mean, I knew it got bad reviews, but I still had hope. Ah well. It was all right, anyway, and it was only an hour and a half so not a huge loss. It did remind me of my dislike for villains, though. By which I mean that so often I find myself watching a movie and really starting to get into it when suddenly a bad guy appears and I suddenly lose interest. Conflicts are SO much more interesting when you can like and sympathize with everyone involved. When there's someone who's only there to be mean and horrible and unlikeable and A VILLAIN, I just don't care. Like, I'll watch Mulan and completely forget about the existence of Shan-Yu until he shows up again and annoys me. And even in Amadeus, where the "villain" is THE MAIN CHARACTER, I still find the problems Wolfie and Stanzi create for themselves SO much more interesting than Salieri's plot. haha, and you can totally see this in my writing, I think. I very very rarely have a character that can be labelled "the villain." x)

I heard MoMusu's "Sexy Boy" in the movie, played when they were walking across a street in Tokyo. It is quiet and covered with background noise and if I hadn't spent the whole Japan sequence with my ears pricked I definitely never would've even heard it. Here is what I managed to hear: "bamen de wa / sugoi no ne akirechau wa" END SCENE. HAHAHA so yeah. :P I didn't hear "Happy Summer Wedding" at all; supposedly it can be heard when they're flipping though radio stations in the car, but if that's the case I completely missed it. :( But I sat through the credits and was extraordinarily happy to see the song titles, "Morning Musume," "Tsunku," and "Up-Front Works" on the big screen at the end of an American movie. xDDDD They didn't write "Sexy Boy ~Soyokaze ni Yorisotte~," though, just "Sexy Boy - Soyokaze ni Yorisotte." hahaha YOU'RE DOING IT WRONG!!!! xDDD;

Man, wouldn't that have been awesome if they used one of the parts with that deep and manly voice (Tsunku? is that you? I always assume it is!) saying "Sexy boy"? HAHAHAHA IT WOULD HAVE BEEN SO AWESOME!!!

And then I came home where I had a phone message from another co-worker, and I called her back and took her tomorrow night shift so she has enough time to finish her homework. She is the most helpful co-worker I have ever had (on my birthday she only had about an hour's work she had to do, then she went home, and then she came back later on to help me with my treasury stuff!! I was so touched :) ) so even though I would have taken this shift no matter who was asking me, I feel happier knowing that I am helping her out after she has been so much help to me. x)

And then I watched three episodes of Jon and Kate Plus Eight, which no joke is my favourite show on TV right now. ADORABLE KIDS DOING ADORABLE THINGS = WIN!

Now for a spot of homeworking and then bed. :3
