Take what you can.

I want to write an entry but I'm also pretty sleepy. haha. ^^;
I saw National Treasure: Book of Secrets with K the other day and loved it! I mean I'm pretty sure all of the history in it was fake fake fake, and the characters did come to the right conclusions in unbelievable time, but at the same time wow, that was like the first car chase that I've ever been interested in. haha. xD And I loved the Goofy short that played before it. My co-worker said that when he saw it, he felt all nostalgic for the days when Disney movies just automatically came with shorts. Definitely! haha. xD I also spent Christmas Eve with K and we went to see P.S. I Love You which was pretty much what I expected. She loves that movie but eh, I think it was just okay.
I go back to school again tomorrow and augh. I'm a little disappointed in this Christmas break. I did stuff but I didn't do as much stuff as I would have liked and I spent it either working too much or not at all. :/// My co-worker greeted me this morning with, "Sarah, it's our last day of freedom and we're spending it trapped at work!" I know, right? ;_; And then we walked into the break room where I discovered I have five shifts this upcoming week. WAUGH. It's lovely that they want to give me proper treasury training but why did they wait until the first week of school to do it all at once? I think I'll have like an hour to myself this week, sigh. :(
I got my Nintendo DS kanji games but my DS hasn't come yet so I've only played a little bit of one of them using my brother's DS. x) I lied and said I'm in the first grade and I still find it challenging!! D: D: D: Oh kanji, you taunt me so~.
I'm halfway through one of the books I got for Christmas, The Trojan War: A New History. OMG SO INTERESTING. It's an attempt to look at the Trojan War in a more factual way, but at the same time it assumes the characters of The Iliad were real people and includes sections that are written like a myth. I'm really enjoying reading it. There are a lot of parts where Troy is compared to its surrounding area instead of to Greece, which is sort of new to me I admit, and also it's forcing me to learn the geography of the area better than I had bothered to before. xDD; But I think my favourite part so far was when the author argued that Paris and Helen were using each other and then compared them to Juan and Eva Perón. adkjsldjkfslhds THAT'S HOT. xDD
My last thought for this entry is that I spent New Year's Eve at betaraider's house where her family fed me chips and salsa, and I spent all New Year's Day craving salsa, and spent all today craving salsa, and decided that after work I was going to go down myself and buy some, only to discover that my mom had already done so. Aaaaah I was so happy I cannot even say. xDD So after work I ate chips and salsa and watched At World's End (contrary to popular belief, this was only the second time I have watched the movie in full since the DVD came out - shocking, I know!!) and it was so lovely. <3 My mom even watched part of it with me! :) But luckily not any of the parts where I look like this: ;_; haha I seriously think one of the reasons I have not watched that DVD as often as predicted is because it takes so much out of me. Is that dumb? I don't care. CONFOUND IT ALL I LOVE IT THOUGH xDD
GUYS GUESS WHAT MY FIRST CLASS OF THE SEMESTER IS
JUST GUESS
IT'S PACI!!!!!!!
I haven't even gone yet and already things are not off to a good start! D:
Oh wait, I remembered one more thing to say. xD; Today this woman came to buy her sons tickets for AVP:R (rated 18A), only these kids were too young to go in by themselves, so she asked if they could see I Am Legend (rated 14A) by themselves, and I said if they're both fourteen or older, and she said "They'll be fourteen in March," and when I said that wasn't good enough she went all angst on me. Well, okay, admittedly she was very nice compared to other customers to whom I have the pleasure of explaining these rules, but you know what bugs me most of all?
THAT THESE PEOPLE DON'T JUST LIE.
Because if she had just told me that these kids were fourteen, then who am I to call her on it? It's not like I'm gonna ask for ID, what fourteen-year-old carries ID? I hate that I get complained at because people don't have the gall to lie. :P
hahaha just wait till I'm a parent. IT'S GONNA BE AWESOME!!
(who am I kidding. my kid isn't gonna be allowed to see a 14A movie till he's twenty. xDDD )
