So we watched Cyrano de Bergerac in French class. Good movie, though at times the subtitles SUCKED (I do realize that some would be translated differently to make them rhyme but there were many other problems -- for example, "Où vas-tu?" does not mean "Come back!", nor does "Tu veux?" mean "Really?"). I was sad when Christian died because he was the cute one. YAY FOR BEING SUPERFICIAL.

So I am working on ideas for my NaNoWriMo novel. I'll lose at least a day because of my stupid surgery (my mother had the nerve to schedule the doctor's appointment part on HALLOWE'EN! GEEZE!!), but hopefully I can make it up after. So far I have the opening scenes planned out (but not written, of course ;) ), as well as a working title (I NEVER have these but I forced one out for this one: "Six-Fingered Flame," haha) and some possible chapter titles (I never have these either, they might not actually make it in especially since I ripped them all from song lyrics). Still don't have any names, though. Arghk. So far have included the following things in the outline: a language interpreter, a rat king, and spontaneous human combustion. BECAUSE WHY NOT.

I'm so freezing cold. *brr* ;_;

aah! I can't believe there's only a week left! My plan is to outline 30 chapters and write one each day. So far I have 1 chapter outline and NO plot. I really suck at plots. Plus I can't digress which is always really bad news.

and I have 2 geography fieldwork reports (each 1500 words) to write, an essay of 4000 words to finish, and a theory of knowledge presentation to write. I'm really fudged. :\

I like your chapter plan. For some reason it seems a lot easier than everyone else's wordcount watching plan. ^^;

I figure I'll begin and end chapters as they come. I just write my outlines like a really vague and short story. I think I've got about a third of it planned out so far, with some semblance of a plot. :P Good luck to you on finding yours!!

I have an essay to write but it's only five hundred words. Then a Spanish poster (we have had more poster projects this year than in all of kindergarten, it is quite annoying) and a French poem, which should be interesting. But I don't think this compares with your workload. I think participants of NaNoWriMo should be excused from all assignments due in the last week of October or anywhere in November . . . x_x;;

I'm sure you can finish a fantastic outline, despite that . . . eh? :X

it's weird the way you still get posters when you're in high schoool. I got one last month too. sheesh!

oh, you should read some of nat's french poetry. though I don't know what your french teacher would think of virgin pianos. ;) or... Rimbaud's Ophelie. "La blanche Ophélia flotte comme un grand lys" I love that line.

I still haven't finished my Geography fieldworks. :(

ok, I've basically given up on trying for an interesting plot. I think it's going to be pretty regular but I'm going to focus on the descriptions.

so far I have over half of my chapters planned and a very weird text file full of key words and phrases. heh.
