in these very waters

Description of another PotC3 trailer. I like this one IMMENSELY better, it just seems so much more interesting and based more on the characters instead of the "pirate war" or whatever. Although there's a line that might make
the_wykydtron cry. XD
Haha, I am way more excited about this movie than I am about the last Harry Potter book. XD XD XD XD XD
(PS: "'The Sea Sponge' Sparrow"? That's the name they're giving him???)

Go on, missy - show'em your larboard side!
Date: 2007-03-09 11:37 pm (UTC)a) Norrington's minimal presence.
b) "Sea Sponge." I hope they fired somebody for that. There are a hundred and one sea-related nicknames that would have been a VAST improvement on "Sea Sponge." If I tried to list all the wonderful and majestic animals of the oceans, sea sponges would not enter the roster until I started wracking my brains in the 400s. I cannot say how much this bothers me. A lot.
c) The fact that the trailer didn't specifically state, one way or another, if Captain Sparrow Sr. is Keith Richards. Which will probably only take 30 seconds of research to figure out, but still.
d) The fact that I can't find the line that will make me cry. I like Elizabeth's rum line ... ?
We wants the redhead!
Date: 2007-03-09 11:59 pm (UTC)c) I'm pretty sure he is. He was supposed to be in the second movie but Keith Richards couldn't do it then so they moved his appearance to the third movie. Or that's how I understand it, at least. The Keith Richards cameo thing kind of weirds me out. Has he acted before? Are we going to have to sit through painfully acted scenes just so the casting director can feel clever? :( :( :(
d) Wack, I was thinking of this line: The KRAKEN's tentacles curling up behind NORRINGTON's ship. Because I thought it indicated that Norrington (sorry, I mean NORRINGTON) was about to be swallowed. But I have just now remembered the connection Norrington has with Beckett and the heart ... so ... never mind?
I CAN STILL HOPE HE WILL GET EATEN
THEN I SHALL BE REDEEMED!!!!!!!!!!!
Re: We wants the redhead!
Date: 2007-03-13 10:05 pm (UTC)but really, meh, I still think he's a sour tart. (yeah yeah, for good reason, backstabbing, treason, so on so on, oh cry me a river NORRINGTON.)
