NaNo2010: Day Four

So I kind of hate the way the NaNo site keeps track of how many words you had on each day and how that compares to the number of words you should have had, because I didn't hit my word count till after midnight tonight, and for me I feel it's still Day Four but according to the official site it is already Day Five and my Day Four was a failure. So I guess what I'm saying is that if you look at my author profile, please ignore the graph. :|

1,800 words today made up of several shorter scenes, the longest of which might not fit the tone I want and also might be out of character for both of the characters involved. Oh well, I'll worry about it later. Hitting 1,667 words was kind of a pain, it took me four hours because I kept getting distracted and wandering off (and also Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide was on!! current favourite show ngl), but once I hit it I was so into what I was writing that I just kept going, and may well go back and write more after I post this. Oh writing~ how I missed you~~~

In other news, I may have figured out a way around my missing degree, I have one of the reference letters I need and now know who's going to be writing the other one, and today one of the ESL students learned the word "amazing" and proceded to use it in every sentence he said. It was kind of amazing.
