NaNo2010: Day One (cont'd)
Nov. 2nd, 2010 03:46 amSo I realize that it is technically Day Two, but I am counting it as Day One until I go to bed! (Which will be very shortly.) I just wrote 2,202 words of one of the most important scenes in this novel, and, as usually happens when I write first drafts of ~most important scenes~, I'm not sure if I like how it turned out or not. (Probably not helped by the fact that I made a couple last-minute changes to it.) Oh well, the writing came out pretty easily and now I am at 3,802 words, about 500 more words than one is supposed to have on Day Two. I can't even remember the last time I was ahead so early in the month!! Now I just gotta keep it up. :B No excerpts yet though because now that I have several co-workers watching my author profile I am unusually nervous!!
In non-NaNo news, on Wednesday morning I am going to a higher level ESL class to help them prepare presentations about Ryan's Well that I will then be watching on Thursday when they present them to my usual lower level class. Good times~ :)
Rather less good times is that I need copies of my bachelor's degree to submit with my JET application, and today I went through all of the drawers and several of the boxes in my room and I cannot. find it. I will admit to being a hoarder but I am not usually a hoarder who LOSES stuff. It's gotta be in there somewhere but I am definitely looking at tearing the room apart until I find it. And I have to find it because a replacement degree would cost $75 (!!) and take six to eight weeks (!?!?) to process, so I wouldn't even have it in time! UGH THIS SUCKS.
