So today my dad and I booked the hotel and the flights and the shuttle for [livejournal.com profile] the_wykydtron and my reading break trip to Disneyland. :D FINALLY! I feel like I have been FREAKING OUT for the past three days and now I can finally calm down. The obtaining of my passport is still an issue but I have faith it will be remedied soon!

Hahaha, in just three days I have spent more energy freaking out about the smallest details of this trip than I have spent freaking out about all of my school assignments ever all added up together. XD

Dad: "What do you say now?"
Sarah: "I ... don't ... know?"
Dad: "Yes, you do. What do you say?"
Sarah: "I don't know what you want."
Dad: "Four words. What do you say? Four words ..."

Aha. XD I'm going to Disneyland!!!! XD XD XD XD XD

And then later my dad was talking about how I need to not spend any money now so that I will be free to spend all of my money on obnoxious souvenirs later. XD And so he said, "No more CDJapan for you!!" AHAHAHAHAHA!! I don't know why but I find this way too funny. XD XD XD XD (There are two MoMusu singles coming out in the next two months and basically it is taking all my willpower to refrain from ordering them. ^^; )

In similar news, [livejournal.com profile] athena_crikey gave me a CD entitled Disney Remix Mania. It's a CD of Disney songs that are not only covers, but they are remixes as well. Hahaha! XD And I have already listened to the whole thing like three times over, hahahahahaha!!! XD Am I a terrible person? Athena, I'm allowed to find this CD extremely humourous, right? XD It is actually not half bad. The seaweed is always greener in somebody else's lake. )

Man, here has been my brain for the last week:
DISNEYLAND / DISNEYLAND / DISNEYLAND / MoMusu / DISNEYLAND / MoMusu / DISNEYLAND / DISNEYLAND / school

Okay the end! XD

My aunt has the same birthday as me and today while we were at the mall, my mother let me pick out her birthday card, which was perhaps not an amazing decision since I've only met this aunt once, and I was five, and so I really have no idea what kind of sense of humour she has. Perhaps the idea is that if we share a birthday we must be EXACTLY THE SAME?? XD I hope this turns out to be the case, because I'm pretty sure the card I picked was written only for me, in the same way that the "What did Captain Cook say to his men before they got on the ship?" joke was written only for me. XD

So the front of this card says: It's your birthday!! I got you a card!!!!
And the inside says: This is the inside of it!!
And the back says: Here's the back!!

GET IT? GET IT? XD XD XD XD

(I think it might be funnier in person. XD )

This evening I finished reading one of the books I got for Christmas, Mouse Tales: A Behind-the-Ears Look at Disneyland. The last chapter summarizes the successes and failures of the other Disney parks, and there's about a page given to Tokyo Disneyland, which includes this little gem:

Again, Disneylanders were sent to help open the new park and many Tokyo workers were trained at Disneyland. Language and culture differences provided some barriers. ... The Americans showed them how to sign autographs but, since the Japanese character for the "R" sound looks like an "L," one character spent the day signing "White Labbit."

Ahahahahahaha, wow. I don't even know where he got that from. Also note that this book has been reprinted several times since 1994 and such a ridiculous error still exists. I can see someone saying that レ looks like an "L" but that still doesn't stop this sentence from being wrong on so many levels.

Anyway, I just thought I'd share that with you!! XD;;

Also, today my brother came to me for help with his college application (which I didn't even know he was doing!!), and it warmed my little heart. :3
