The head of the Spanish department told me that he thinks my credit for third year Spanish is the highest he's ever seen anyone come in with, but that doesn't help me any when I am rewinding and rewinding Prisoner of Azkaban in a frantic attempt to find out what has been said. I have just solved one of the mysteries, I do think! When el Autobús Noctámbulo (the "night-bird bus"? hokay then) comes and Stan asks Harry what he's doing on the ground, I could never figure out what verb they were using! But today I found it! Resbalar, "to slip"! Man, the only reason they didn't use caerse was TO THROW ME OFF!!

Mysteries still unsolven: the verb Dumbledore uses when he's talking about the light, and that thing Harry says to Vernon and then later to Peter that must mean something like "get away from me!" but somehow my brain always hears it as "Allez capitaine !" ... but I'm sure that can't be it, I think there's a "j" in it.

Unrelated but just as important (uh, yeah), I miss Microsoap. :( "Don't be horrible!" hahahahaha man. XD;;;

Also, Dinosaurs!!!!! "We're gonna need another Timmy!" I can't even get over it. XDXDXDXDXD

el Autobús Noctámbulo

That is an *awesome* translation. I love how they used the latin bases to make it into something that's familiar-sounding (in the spirit of most of the HP spell names), instead of directly translating it into the target language.

Also, about that watching foreign movies repeatedly to pick up vocab thing? I just learned that trick recently. Man, it is awesome. I can't imagine doing it in two languages at once though! (At least Spanish and French are related...)
