Haha, oh man, you can't believe I'm still going. ;D
But anyway. Some Troy notes I scribbled on a Post-It note and stuck to my bedroom door and left there for two months make their way to the Internet at last!!
- The second time I saw the movie. Briseis in Achilles' tent for the first time. Behind me someone whispered, "Is that Achilles' wife?" I can only assume they somehow confused Hector and Achilles, but basically, I am not able to rightly apprehend the kind of confusion of ideas that could provoke such a question. HAHAHA no I just wanted to use that quote. XDXDXD
- After my brother saw Troy with his girl friend (not girlfriend, says he) and passionately hated it, he was talking to me about the scene where Achilles and Hector first duke it out, and when he needed to use the name "Hector," he paused for a moment, thought for a moment, and said at long last, " . . . the only word that's coming to my mind right now is 'Cliver.'" I LOVE IT!
- My brother says that in his screening of the movie, when Achilles said "Tsch!" to Hector, the audience replied with "Tsch tsch tsch!", which I was tempted to do both times I saw it, but I didn't have the guts.
- Whenever there was a pan over a bunch of extras, among the random unintelligible chatter I always heard the same voice shouting "¡Aquí está!" I'm pretty sure I heard it the first time but it didn't register until the second time. I know that parts of the movie were filmed in Mexico, maybe these were Mexican extras running around shouting in garbled Spanish? Maybe I had just been studying Spanish way too much? Someone on some site I was on believes the language the extras are shouting to be badly pronounced Ancient Greek, but I don't know how much to trust this, and I doubt the filmmakers would go to that much effort for a couple scenes of yelling extras . . .
- I like the way the night attack scene actually looked like nighttime, and the dawn actually looked like dawn. It seems to me that in most movies I see, nighttime is just like daytime except the light is blue. ;P
- I have a note here that says "Hector's death and A's." Who is A? Achilles? Agamemnon? What is this note trying to remind me of? Aw man, I done it again. x_x;;
- Agamemnon's ship tent thing really amused me so much. XDXDXD
Also in August I will probably be taking a Jazzercise class I am SO EXCITED!!!
And . . . I love the Internet. XDXDXD;;;;;;;;
And . . . . . . my brother showed me this video last week. He is absolutely convinced that it is genuinely Russian, but I was most determined it was not, as all of the English is basically good English but backwards or jumbled with missing words, along with a billion other clues that give it away as being most definitely not-Russian, and I have now done a bit of research and I was so right!! The two people in the video are Australian. I win!! But it is still very amusing, I think. :D
