Backstory: I sponsor several children through Children International.
At the same time that I sent a Special Gift for Joseline and her family, I sent one for Peter and his family. As I mentioned in my last sponsorship entry, Peter was assigned to my account after Kelvin left the program. I think what happens in this situation is that they randomly assign you a child of the same sex and country as the child who left the program - like Kelvin, Peter is a boy who lives in Zambia. He's thirteen years old and his birthday is my half-birthday, which is pretty awesome! Obviously CI knows me too well, lol. xD
Once again I apologize for the fact that I don't know how to clean my scanner or properly edit photos. But I won't apologize for the way the top of Peter's head is cut off in a few of these pictures, because believe it or not, that actually isn't my fault. o_O

The donation I sent wasn't that big, so I was surprised to see that they got quite a bit out of it! Peter received a bed, sheets, and groceries. For those of you keeping score at home, this is the third bed I've bought for my sponsored children. I just find this amusing because I've still never bought any furniture for myself, lol!

Peter would like you to take note that the ubiquitous SUPER BREAKFAST now has a small but plucky sidekick, SUPER RICE.

The Special Gift reports that I've received from Zambia have usually been pretty short, and this one is no exception, but it does mention that the family is happy that Peter will be able to sleep more comfortably.

I've only been sponsoring Peter since August, so I don't know that much about him yet, but he began his thank you letter with "Dear friend, hello friend!" which I think is pretty awesome. xD

So that's Peter! :) You'll be seeing more of him in a couple months, when I receive the photos of the supplies his family buys in order to open their own store. :D
