SEE GUYS I'M NOT A FREAK AFTER ALL I KNEW IT!!!
Apparently there is some speculation regarding a possible sequel. SO IT COULD STILL HAPPEN!!!
(Waiting for this DVD is kind of gnawing at my soul.)
Also: HAHAHAHAHAHAHA and how fantastic is it that I recognized these guys right away? hahahahahaha oh the lulz~. xDDD
Okay I am actually kind of ashamed to be reading fandom!secrets so let's pretend I'm not.
(HAHAHAHAHAHA oh gosh why??!!)
(I very much agree.)
(And I am totally guilty of this.)
(And maybe I have to agree with this one too?)
(Ahahahahaha!! Now I really want to watch Muppet Treasure Island. D: )
So ... now for something completely different?
Easterrrr [although fyi, I am cutting out all the "omg thank you for being a sponsor you are so amazing!!11!!" because I am kind of getting sick of it]:
Steven and Yesica will each receive a pair of white running shoes. Perfect for participating in sports, playing or just running around and being a kid, this new pair of shoes is sure to put a smile on children's faces.
Keyly will receive two pillowcases and a bedspread. Sponsored children and youth are sure to love curling up to sleep with a brand new bedspread and pillowcases bought especially for them.
Ma. Fe will receive a choice of new footwear. Growing children are always in need of new shoes that fit well. Being able to choose their own shoes is an extra special treat.
Mercy and Kelvin will each receive a washbasin and a towel. For families living in poverty, basic hygiene items are a luxury. A washbasin will help them maintain proper hygiene, while a soft, fluffy towel will ensure they have a way to dry off after bathing.
I loled because the letter's introduction sorta kinda makes it sound like each family receives a unique gift, but notice how the children who are in the same country are receiving the same present? Not that I hold this against CI or anything, I just find it interesting to see how they try to create a certain impression so that the sponsors will be happy, but then they also have to keep costs down as much as possible and such. An interesting balancing act that they sometimes even discuss a little on their blog.
(And if you are wondering how I am able to afford sponsoring six children, the answer is I'm afraid that if I move out, as I suppose I will eventually like to do, I might not be able to keep it up for very long. :( )
I'm sorry that there is nothing much of interest in this entry. D:
