The highlight of my today was that I decided to buy my copy of AWE at Future Shop since I'd gotten a couple gift cards from my manager, and almost by accident I took the route that would take me past the craft store next to it, and I peered in the windows at just the right moment to see my brother's girlfriend getting ready to go on her break. And so she came with me to buy PotC3! :D AWEsome! xD And they had a Jack Sparrow standee and a million bajillion copies of the million bajillion versions of the movie and they had it playing on a fancy pants widescreen TV. AWEsome!! xD
YES I AM STILL OBSESSED WITH THIS MOVIE AND THERE'S NOTHING YOU GIRLS CAN DO ABOUT IT xD
And then my brother's girlfriend jokingly asked, "What are you getting me for Christmas?" and I thought WHOOPS! and felt all guilty so then I went to the mall and spent probably too much money on her present. :X I would say I spent more on her present than my brother did, except I know that not to be true. ^^; haha, my brother and I should totally have done like in that Seinfeld episode, where George has to get a present for Elaine that's worth half of what Jerry's present for Elaine is worth ... oh man that part is just so amusing to me. xD;;
We're going to a performance of Aladdin Jr. this weekend, my brother's girlfriend and I. I will inevitably be disappointed because whenever I think of it I picture DCA's version of Aladdin, which I loved so much and watched six times in seven days. xD But oh well, it should be fun anyway. She cracked me up a couple days ago by asking, "You know The Nutcracker? ... Is this show going to be like that?" HAHAHA now I really want to see Disney's Aladdin performed as a ballet. xD;; AWEsome!! xD
Anyway here is my review of AWE on DVD:
WHY IS IT SO SMALL AND QUIET????? *squinting*
... I think I got too used to seeing it on the big screen. D:
I was amused because all week I have been building up to buying this thing and then I came home from shopping and decided to do other stuff before watching it but my whole family was so anxious about it. xD "WHY AREN'T YOU WATCHING PIRATES? AREN'T YOU GOING TO WATCH PIRATES?" hahaha, they love me. xD;; And then my mom came in during Will and Elizabeth's last scene and said, "It's over! Are you going to watch it again?" xD;; haha. WELL I DIDN'T. I have that much willpower at least. :X
And now today (December 5th - actual today, not the today that I still think I'm in xD; ) is Walt Disney's birthday! I am kind of sad because there's this new thing that opens the PotC3 DVD, where they show a bunch of wee short clips from Disney movies and then the clips go together to form the castle from the new opening logo. But it only says "Disney" at the bottom, it doesn't say "Walt." IT LOOKS WEIRD. D: But anyway, happy birthday Walt. xD;
And I have been working on my novel quite a lot this past week, so yay! :D
Edit: I am allowing this AWE babble to escape the cut because at the moment I think it is just so brilliant. xD A thought I had while watching the movie today: looking at the parallels created between Davy and Will, I daresay PotC deals with the theme of your choices making you what you are a hundred times better than Harry Potter does.
DISCUSS! XD
