I wanted a normal happy ending!! Whyyyyy did that have to do that?? I'm a sucker for the predictable cheesy ending! I was definitely not expecting that to happen with Will but I can see how it was a good way to finish it up.
Norrington dying killed me too! I didn't think I liked him that much either, but I guess POTC2 had more of an impact on me than I thought. I liked that he at least got his kiss with Elizabeth before it happened. :(
Will's tea party was classic. Just the way he held the teacup and sipped from it... hilarious! I loved when he said "I wasn't finished with that" when Davy Jones knocked it out of his hand. XD
"When I first saw the trailer, I was so skeptical of Will in that do-rag or whatever you want to call it, but my final verdict on it is that Will as the captain of the Dutchman was pretty well the hottest thing ever. "
Absolutely NO argument there. That's exactly what I thought at first, but of course after seeing the movie... well it WAS the hottest thing ever! *grin*
I don't really care about what happened with Tia Dalma. I never really cared much about her in the second one either. I just don't think she was ever as awesome as Jack or the other characters. Don't hate me! Hahaha. :P
" I love how this series started out fairly normal and then just got weirder and weirder. Hahaha, this movie. They could have killed off everyone except the dog and I STILL would have loved it way too unhealthily much. XD Who needs drugs when you have H!P and PotC? hahahaha ..."
LOL. True, but I think Jack having halluncinations was a bit much for me. I liked when he was crazy Jack without the visions. It seemed like organised madness in the other films- it was part of his charisma and charm. I know the multiple Jacks were supposed to be funny and a result of what happened to him but still, it was just disturbing. I just felt like the people who came up with that didn't get Jack's appeal at all!
Overall I really enjoyed it as a film but I can't help but be disappointed with the fact that Will and Elizabeth can't really be together properly. I mean she's just stuck alone there with her child! I guess I can just pretend to myself that Will and Elizabeth get to see each other more than every ten years. :P
Yes, that's it. Lying to myself about the ending will keep me satisfied. At least Jack had a happy ending! Oh, wait... he didn't, but that was to be expected! At least Jack didn't let me down. XD
