more proof the Trojan War is EVERYWHERE!!!
Apr. 9th, 2008 12:06 amGuys I forgot to tell you my fantastic discovery!!
From the April/May issue of The Beaver (I definitely read all my parents' magazines, haha):
In 1839, explorer Thomas Simpson reached the Castor and Pollux rivers on the southwest shore of the Boothia Peninsula and looked onto Rae Strait, which he rightly suspected was the final link in the Northwest Passage.
Limited Googling seems to be telling me that in fact it is only one river, the Castor and Pollux River, but just the fact that Canada would have anything geographical named after Helen of Troy's brothers is pretty much EPIC WIN.
Haha, I think this is even more awesome than when I learned that Victoria has a Thetis Lake!! xD
Also: HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
P.S. I love this fandom!secret.
P.P.S. Why can't I stop reading this community~~~~? _-_;
