Moving on. You'll remember that for Christmas I received a book, The Trojan War: A New History, which I thought was the most fascinating thing ever. So then for a little while I was all crazy about the Trojan War. But then this past Saturday I had my birthday party, and my friends and I watched all three PotC movies and it was AWEsome and I only wish we could do it every weekend ^^;; , and so for a couple days I was all crazy about Pirates. But then one of the birthday gifts I received from my parents was the In Search of the Trojan War DVDs, and I have watched all six+ hours of the series over the past two days, and so guess what I am back to being all crazy about!!!1! @_@ hahaha I am such a Trojan War fangirl it is ridiculous. I always want people to watch my new Trojan War DVDs with me but it is probably a good thing that no one ever wants to, because they would have to put up with all the fangirling I do while I watch this stuff. xDD

Anyway, I have been wanting to watch In Search of the Trojan War for YEARS, and it is kind of a joke that I watched In Search of Shakespeare (which I highly recommend if you have any interest in Shakespeare; I'm thinking of buying it so I can watch it all again :d ) before I watched this one, hahaha. xD; But the wait was certainly worth it. Definitely it was different than I had expected it to be - I thought it would be much more similar to A New History, where it goes through the story of the Trojan War and then matches bits of the tale with other bits of stories and also with the archaeological record. But In Search was not quite so linear as all that! haha. And it was not half so concerned with the details of the story; mainly it was just interested with the big questions, like did the War really happen? if so, when? how did it begin? how did it end? I am actually kind of surprised with all the characters they just completely neglected to mention. They talked about Agamemnon and Paris and Helen for like four hours before they even thought of mentioning Menelaus, which I found amusing. If Menelaus were to watch this documentary and realize this, he would probably be like, "STORY OF MY LIFE, MAN." xDD;;

So I really loved In Search of the Trojan War and it really made me want to go on a roadtrip hahaha and oh man it was so full of names and places that I will definitely have to watch it again at some point. And I definitely want to ramble about it some more but the words are really not coming to me right now so I guess you all will just have to wait. xD;;;
