(no subject)

Dude. If the buses are only going to be dropping us off in the parking lot tomorrow, I might as well get my mom to drive me! This is a burn on my mother because she always drops me off in the first parking lot she sees, get it? Get it??? Oh, how I am clever.

There have been picketers outside of the elementary school I pass on my way to UVic. Today I saw one of them pouring out the remains of her coffee right beside the "Welcome to Broadmead" sign, which has been obscured by people's lunches. None of this makes me want to support them. Why are you making our welcome sign look so tacky? ;_;_;_;_;

I suspect that should I ever in fact become a teacher, I will not last very long. A strike will be declared and they will ring me up and say "Sarah, where are you? It's your turn to picket!" and I'll say "Screw that, Reba's on!" Or perhaps I will take my friend's advice that she gave to her mother in a similar situation, and I will dramatically fling myself off my bicycle just as I am arriving to the picket site. First, of course, I will have to procure a bicycle.

....... So basically I have inherited my father's deeply rooted hatred for people who are picketing, although in his case he hates Communists and in my case I am slightly annoyed by people who dump their coffee out beside the welcome sign. Because, come on now. Ew.

((Another thing that amuses me re: that particular elementary school is that last year the letters were falling off the front of the building and by the end of the year it was "Le Menta School." WHY IS THIS FUNNY I DON'T KNOW. They have apparently given up on the letters because they aren't there anymore. Or maybe they weren't getting paid enough to put them back up OH BURN ON YOUR LIFE!!!!))
