(no subject)

I was going to write another long post about the awesomeness of Amadeus (apologies to Athena, who h8s it XD ), but was distracted by Behind the Surname. I have a character in my current novel project who is supposed to be Italian, and knowing nothing about Italian surnames I just chose one for him off a random list I found through Google, but this site lists it and that makes me happy! "Lombardi -- Italian -- Name for someone who came from the Lombardy region in Italy. The region got its name from the Lombards, a Germanic tribe who invaded in the 6th century." Man, that really makes me so happy and I really don't know why. Also, I'm probably saying it all wrong, but I like the way it sounds in my head. Lombardi! XD;;;;;

I know nothing about Italian first names either, but solved that problem by giving him a ridiculous English nickname, which I have mentioned before in this very same LJ, when my mom and I went out to buy tomatoes. Hahaha, the only reason I remember that I mentioned it is because I was reading old entries the other day. I seriously need a hobby, or, like, something.

Edit: I ordered the Petit Best albums just before midnight last night and one of them had already been shipped by the time I got up this morning. Sometimes I hate time zones, but today I think they are awesome! Hahaha, Sam, don't hit me! XD;;;;;
