Dec. 10th, 2003 04:16 pmSo in Catch-22, there is the line "In the back, Snowden was dying." In a story I wrote recently, I wrote "In the kitchen, the cake was burning." And I didn't feel guilty when that line came in the middle of the story. But then my writing teacher took her pencil to it, cut out the second half of the story, slapped two check marks next to that line and wrote "End it here. It's beautiful!"
Aw man, now I feel like a plagiarist! :(
