I am so slow at making decisions!!
Oct. 30th, 2003 07:43 amMan, I got up at seven this morning to rewrite this poem and now I realize I really don't want to rush a rewrite like that (and leave all the editing up to my puny little skills), as I like the idea of the poem too much. And I'm pretty sure I have enough pages to hand in my manuscript as it is. We're supposed to have ten pages of poetry and I have nine and a quarter, which hopefully is good enough. _-_; Grr. That's okay. I think I have to stop taking this so frightfully seriously. I mean, sure, there's a chance the poems I hand in now could be published in our school literary magazine (because the writing teacher submits some of them there), but that's not a huge deal, I don't think. I can still fix them later if I think it's needed.
Oh man, if I ever get a poetry book of my own published (very unlikely), I think it will be frightening to see me as I approach the deadline. O_O Most likely I will be bald! (From tearing my hair out. Hahaha! I am funny yes.) Hopefully I would be better at fixing up poetry by then, though. ¬¬
This has taught me something, at least! When we start our fiction unit (not sure when this is going to be, she keeps talking about how we're going to leap from poetry to fiction with "little tiny steps" which I can't see the reason for) I will revise as we go along, not all at the end. ^^;;;;;
Sammoth, I am totally looking forward to our NaNoPoMo. XDXDXDXD
