Jan. 23rd, 2003 06:37 pmI finished the Tutankhamen book and the part with Ankhesenamen's letters killed me. I know I use that terrible phrase in the most random ways, but in this case I mean "they made me feel very sad and frightened for the young queen." Reading primary sources is cool but it rarely gets me so worked up. It's so funny, hahaha not, when I'm reading/watching a biography of a guy, I always sympathize more with his wife than with him. Tut's kicked the bucket, poor Ankhesenamen whose name I can't spell! Mozart's dead, poor Constanze! Anyway, I think I will order this book when I finally get around to ordering that CD I want, as the local stores don't seem to have either. Annoyance.
Yes I'm stupid but whatever. I'm also behind on replying to LJ comments but I'll get around to them, promise. It's exam week and I'm sick and quite cranky, so nyah. I'm actually not surprised I'm sick this week, I've been sick for all of my exam weeks save one. My favourite, though, was when I was sitting in last year's Very Important Math Exam and my nose started running like a faucet. The poor girl sitting next to me had to say "bless you" every five seconds, poor soul.
I had my Spanish oral exam today and messed up all of my verbs. Well, almost all. Did the teacher even notice? I'm not sure. Still embarrasses me, though. The French listening exam was easy-peasy but I'm not looking forward to the rest of the thing.
So this entry was filled with nothingness and I'm going to go write more SFF now. I am halfway through the sad scene. So that's good?
