I think the stupidest thing about changing the name of the first Harry Potter book for its American release was that there was a whole Aladdin episode about the Philosopher's Stone. Also, I don't know why they expect Canadian kids to know what the Philosopher's Stone is but American kids to not know . . . The whole thing confuses me.

Anyway, last night I dragged my parents to the second Harry Potter movie and I adored it, so that's good. It was tons better than the first, as everyone has said. I had a bunch to say last night but right now I don't feel like writing it. :P

I hope the Prisoner of Azkaban movie turns out all right. That HP book I've read three times, in multiple languages. *cough cough shifty eyes*

I have to go write more on my dear novel. :D The problem right now is I just want to skip this chapter and write more exciting bits, but I can't because there needs to be information given in this one . . . aaaaaaargh. Okay then.

Yahoooooo!! I have finally reached thirty thousand, and am very happy about it. Yes, I'm writing so slowly, averaging a couple hundred words a day. I seem to have lost a lot of my motivation for speed, but I will not let myself stop! Never!!

I have been coming up with a lot of ideas for this story and have been drawing some artwork, heehee! Maybe I'll scan it when I finish, it depends how ugly it turns out. ;) I was reading the first few chapters of the novel this afternoon and was marvelling at all the ideas I hinted at and then decided to cut, at the way the story has veered off in a bit of a different direction, at the way some of the characters have shifted personalities a bit. Yes, this is going to need tons and tons of editing when I finish this first draft . . . Ah, how the mind boggles.

But thirty thousand at last! I am proud. :)
