I was just reading through some forum posts, and some people kept using the word "colorful," and I flinched every time because to me it looked so much like a misspelling. Yes, I love my extra "u"s. :X Colourful, colourful!

What I thought was amusing was once when I was watching Seinfeld and George was putting a bill into a candy machine, and I thought "Candy costs five bucks down there?", and an hour later realized that in the US there are one dollar bills. Ah, something we have long lost!

You know, when toonies first came out my grandmother had one and I spent a whole afternoon dropping it on the kitchen floor trying to make the middle pop out. It didn't work, and I was mighty disappointed. ;)

Today I spent three hours reading betaraider's NaNoWriMo novel and it is so good. While I was reading it I totally forgot that I knew the author. Yes, that is how I judge how good something is: if I forget that someone had to have written it, especially if I know its author in the first place. Aaaaaah, now I feel so guilty because my writing is bad and I have so much homework and aaaaaaagh.

Here is my plan of action: write more Six-Fingered Flame for the next hour, then watch the hour of Malcolm in the Middle on TV, then work on the rest of my stupid English homework ("What is Macbeth's analysis of himself in this scene?" "Well, in my well-educated opinion, it is BORING.") while watching Seinfeld. Hopefully I will finish this homework before I have to go to school tomorrow but somehow I doubt it's going to happen. Just wait till tomorrow night, where I get to do all of my French, Spanish and stagecraft homework in one night. My life is terribly exciting!!

As much as I complain about how early people start setting up for Christmas (yesterday there was a local Santa Claus parade, blargh!), it does have its uses. I mean, if I tried hard enough, I bet I could catch The Nutcracker on television at least a hundred times! I've already seen one version (the ending was really creepy) and it's only the first of the month. So! My November goal was to write a lot; my December goal is to watch The Nutcracker every time it's on. This should be an interesting month. XD
