I had a very tumultuous morning, oh my.

Anyway, despite this, I have been typing up my notebooks, and the current word count for what I have typed of WYD, my current novel project, is 51,879 words. Woohoo! XD Never mind that it took me a year and a little bit to get this far, all righty? XDXD

I think it is amusing that the most recent WYD scene, which I just finished typing up, ends with the line where I quoted the famous Captain Jack Sparrow (Sloan bit her red lip, smiled. "Only a little." HA HA HA NO ONE WILL EVER CATCH THAT ONE) because today I watched Pirates with the screenwriters' audio commentary on it and now all I want to do is be a screenwriter. I mean, seriously! They get to write? And they get to hang out on the set? And then they get to do an audio commentary where they're all "oh, in my first draft~" and "we added this line because~" and "this character is this way because~" and oh snap! I don't see how it could fail!

Anyway, yay for passing 50k on WYD. Other current word counts--

Lost Inside Cambodia (my NaNo '04):
55,783

my untitled scary story (including notes):
5,768

my untitled ninja story (including notes):
1,894

my titled story I started yesterday which may be someone's birthday present if it doesn't suck (including notes):
1,433

the notes file for For the Money (my NaNo '05) (yes I've started already HAVEN'T YOU??):
1,320

I would add the word count for my musical but ... it would give me a headache.

I've been writing a fair amount lately and I think I like it. :)

Also! I submitted an embarrassing story to Ellen and a message for the aliens to Daily Planet (the whole idea is lame beyond lame but don't tell them I said that!!) so soon I will be FAMOUS! Awsm.

Edit: My dad just got back from a spelling bee (hahahahahaha) and his team messed up "phoneme" and, said he, "something to do with a shoelace," and I was like, ARE YOU SERIOUS I TOLD YOU I SHOULD HAVE BEEN ON YOUR TEAM so I guess I am just smarter than I should be, because, not only have I studied phonemes in school (and hated them, but let's not deal with that right now), but, let's get real here, here is another lovely snippet from my current novel project: Phoenix clomped through, the aglets of his untied shoelaces tapping the cement floor, his phone belting a hard rock ringtone. I seriously must have been on something when I wrote that, but let's not deal with that right now, the point is that I am an expert when it comes to shoelace anatomy, yes it's true.

My favourite part of the screenwriters' audio commentary which I forgot to mention before is the part where Johnny Depp throws a script revision back at them and hollers, "You gave me exposition!?!?!?" Maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan, aaaaaaaaawesome.

Also, I saw five episodes of Hello! Project's Futarigoto today and man, amazing. How did they seriously get away with making an episode where Maki does nothing but sit in front of a television? AND YET IT IS FASCINATING. I am like, what was that, Rika? You run a lot in the house and fall over a lot because of it? OMG ME TOO!!!! Futarigoto FOREVAH!!!!
