So on Saturday night one of the other volunteers and I were sharing our favourite J-pop songs with each other (thanks to him I woke up the next morning with "Sekai ni Hitotsu Dake no Hana" stuck in my head, ugh), and almost by accident I had him listen to "Energetic," off BoA's English album, and anyway I am currently sitting up here in my room studying Spanish and guess what song I can hear playing at top volume downstairs. xD

SEE I TOLD YOU GUYS IT'S AN AWESOME ALBUM~~~~!!!

Edit: So last night we had Easter dinner, which I wasn't too terribly involved in, but as I understand it was a big production requiring the purchase of several new utensils, including a potato masher. However, the volunteer who went to fetch it didn't realize he didn't have the necessary vocabulary until after he arrived at the store. So he found himself in conversation with a store employee, saying: "I need something that can transform potatoes from a solid state to a liquid state."

"What, you mean like potato juice?"

"Um, no, more solid than that ..."

In typing this out I realize it doesn't really work as a written story, but oh my god when he was telling us about this last night we were crying. >xD

That is an awesome potato-masher story. Did he do gestures?

It also seems like you've got some pretty cool people living with you; that's great. :)

Are your language courses divided by skill level? Or is there just one?

I have no idea whether or not he did gestures, although he didn't when he was telling us about this. He claims it took fifteen minutes to finally get the idea across. ^^; The following day he had to go procure us some tin foil, he asked for it by saying the French word with a Spanish accent, and apparently it worked!

There's only one class; the teacher was telling me yesterday that once she had three students, two of which already knew a lot of Spanish and one who had to hurry to catch up. So I imagine that would've been kind of frustrating, but there aren't enough volunteers coming in to justify more than one class, I think. I'm the only one this month! Next month though we'll have eight newbies, should be interesting. D:

Omg I'm scrolling through my friend's pages and I see the title of this post and instantly thought, "I'm feeling so energetic, don't think y'all will ever get it." I was like I wonder if she's talking about that BoA song and you are! <3

I love that album. It took me forever to find it in stores though cause I didn't just wanna download it. I wanted to actually have the CD lol.
