useless post ahead

omg, this dialogue from Not Always Right makes me so happy. It reminds me of one of my favourite work-related entries (look! I found the excellent typo I referred to in my survey post!!), and I am so glad that I am not the only one this ridiculous situation has happened to.

Ahahahah, that was, like, the best conversation ever. "I... I just don't think this is it." EVEN IF IT'S NOT HOW DO YOU TURN DOWN A MOVIE CALLED SNAKES ON A PLANE, AAAAAA-

Also, man. People are crazy about the movies huh? Why would you even go if you don't care enough about the movie to know the name?

So many people come to the theatre either not knowing what they want to see, or what time it's playing at. Which is so bizarre to me because I would never just wander over to a movie theatre with no information! I think most of the time, if they're just looking for a random movie, they usually manage to find something to watch, but then there are all those unfortunate people who wander in at eight o'clock after all our early shows have started and two hours before all our late shows start ... D:

That is so bizarre.

Also, you guys don't do eight o'clock showings?

(Also, captcha, why are you here?)

According to my manager, most theatres don't. The first shows of the night start between 6:30 and 7:50, then while the movies are running we take our breaks, and then the next set of shows starts around 9:20.

That feels like it's true, but I've definitely been to 8 o'clock showings before. Perhaps people in Maine are just crazy for the pictures, so they have more showings, or something. (Also, 10 o'clock shows as well!)

Yeah, we have 10 o'clock shows - the second set runs from around 9:20 to around 10:30 (although we all moan and groan when the last show is that late).

*makes trouble for theater-workers everywhere*

That's my favorite time to go to the movies! :DDDD

I had a woman come in the other day and she wanted me to recommend a movie to her and she wasn't picking up my "here is our list of movies and their summaries - please step aside so I can help the next guest in line" vibe so I told her to see Holmes.

Then I went on my break, and I stepped into Sherlock Holmes just as she was walking out of it. D:

And she didn't even get a refund - she just LEFT.

If you come to the theatre not knowing what show you want to see, surely you would approach a recommended movie with an open mind?

Well, you can approach something with an open mind but still not like it, can't you? (lol, I've been telling so many people to go see Holmes. xD )

And yeah, so many people don't even realize that we do refunds.

OMG HAHAHAHHAHA. Oh god, dumb people are dumb.

I hate it when people look for something they aren't even sure about. I try my best to help them but like, please people.. don't shop if you don't know what the heck you're shopping for!
