winterfest, part the second
How weird that the year I wasn't really feeling the Christmas spirit turned out to be the year where I got some of the bestest presents evarrr! I mean, case in point, I am typing this in the living room on my brand new laptop, something I didn't even ask for omg. The only time previous when I had a computer of my own, it was running Windows 3.1, and while I do feel nostalgic for that operating system every so often, it is very nice to have a computer of my own on which it is possible to watch YouTube videos. xD I am super looking forward to making it all pretty. haha, I feel like my getting a laptop is good news for my Internet social life, but horrible news for the rest of my life! haha oh well, we'll see. I still have to figure out this Windows 7 business, I was not expecting it to be so different from Windows XP. I was going to put an emoticon at the end of that sentence but I feel that "XP" fills that role quite nicely.
Other amazingsauce presents:
· The Disneyland Encyclopedia. Did you know that every twenty minutes, a cell phone is turned into Disneyland's Lost and Found? NOW YOU DO.
· Orientalism (shut up, I'm a Pacific and Asian Studies major, it's a NECESSITY), The Ancient World in the Cinema, and Ancient Greece in Film and Popular Culture. The last book features a screencap from one of the Bill and Ted movies and also lists "slash fiction" in its glossary. Needless to say, I am very excited to read it.
· The penultimate season of Reba, the ultimate season of Full House, and Animal Crossing: Wild World in which I am pretty desperate to change my character's hairstyle. D:
· A TAMAGOTCHI
AND A KIT WITH WHICH TO "BLING YOUR TAMAGOTCHI"
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
MY MOTHER KNOWS ME WAY TOO WELL
I didn't even realize they still made these things! I am waiting till my next day off to start it up; as I recall, tamagotchis can be quite demanding little creatures.
· A Disney princess lanyard. If only I had keys for which I needed a lanyard! Sad to say, my house key is already Disney princess-themed. It makes me happy every time I have to lock the door. xD
· A Hannah Montana-themed PSP, omg. This is from one of my co-workers, and I was totally not expecting it. I'm excited to have a PSP because it means I can get another Katamari Damacy game! xD
· And a bunch of other ridiculous things to fit my ridiculous personality. xD
And I feel like I've said this about a million times already, but I have also been LOVING the fandom card exchange I took part in. You guys are amazing and I'm glad to have been able to share a little bit of the holidays with you. <3 :D
Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go clean off my desk so I actually have somewhere to put all this stuff when I leave for work in two hours. :P

I WOULD LOVE TO CHANGE MY HAIR AT YOUR TOWN!! Although one of my presents for my brother was the Wii Animal Crossing game, and he just changed his hair and now it is worse than before. But I am still willing to give it a shot!

Also, the questions the lady asks you will determine what your hair looks like in the end. If you want to cheat, you can look it up to see what you want, and what you should answer.
I haven't played in about a year, so my town is probably at 100% weed capacity, though at one time I had it at perfect and got the golden watering can!

Thanks for the tips! My dad and I spent like twenty minutes trying to get my DS connected to the WiFi and everything but we couldn't get it to work. :( Ugh, technology! Obviously we will just have to sit there playing Animal Crossing when next we meet! lololol xD

I'll take a look at my wifi settings here, and see if I can trouble shoot for you.
