arisha: (full house is hilarity xD)

I won't even wish for snow

Guys, I was wrong. Having to work on Christmas is not hilarious at all. In fact, it is perhaps the least hilarious thing in the history of humankind. I was all eeeerugh about it all morning and now I feel guilty for not being all excited about my presents even though I do really love everything I got. My mother got me an issue of Disney Princess Magazine, you guys. This is the magazine I have always been too embarrassed to buy for myself. But oh, how I wanted it.

I also got a bunch of Pirates stuff and two books on Disneyland and The Santa Clause 3 which I've yet to see and more Full House and Reba and the way old school Batman movie (this is the only one I like, and I wish I was joking) and a video game. My brother got me a little Jack Sparrow figure, bragged about how he got it for just three dollars, altered the price tag so it looks like he spent over a thousand, and drew on the plastic around Jack so that it looks like he has a wacky (wackier?) mustache. As awesome as this is, IT DOESN'T STOP ME BEING MAD AT HIM. >:P So basically my pile of presents look like someone raided a toy store. Except that I also got a book on the Trojan War!! xDDD I love that this is the only interest of mine that I don't share with most five-year-old girls. xDDD

AND THEN I WENT TO WORK FOR ELEVEN AND A HALF HOURS

Oh well. At least I will have mad moneyz. :X

As usual, I started this entry intending to talk about something entirely different. Namely, the Disney Christmas parade! :DD I caught the last half hour after we opened presents, then I went back to sleep for an hour ^^; , then my mom and I watched it all (I totally begged her to tape it for me xDDD I don't know how to work our new VCRs, shut up!! haha). We used to have the Disney Christmas parade on the TV for background noise when I was little, but I haven't watched it for a good while. I didn't even watch it last year because I thought it took place entirely in Walt Disney World, and at the time I was really only interested in Disneyland. (hahaha I know, I know, everyone thinks they are THE SAME THING, but they are soooo not! xD; ) And I guess I must admit that we did fastforward through a not insignificant number of the performances, but I just had no interest in some of those people and if they were singing a slow song, then too bad!! :PP

Man, I want to know if the girls screaming for the Jonas Brothers were for real. I mean ... really?? They look like such wannabes. Like there was a gap in the parade schedule so the co-ordinator decided to give instruments to some random kids who live on his street. Although the video for their cover of "I Wanna Be Like You" is pretty amusing, in a stupid sort of way. CROWD-SURFING CARDBOARD MOWGLI!!! xDDD

Also, Al and Jas riding horses down Main Street! xDD My mom was all, "Where's Genie?" hehe, cute. xDD I am kind of mad at that princess medley Katharine McPhee did, though, simply because in Disneyland I concocted this fantastic theory that one of the reasons Jasmine is so neglected when it comes to the Disney Princess line is because she doesn't have a scene where she dances, like, at a ball or something, and you can't really put her in a ballroom dance sort of setting. And her default outfit isn't a dress, so you have to put more effort into it if you want a picture of her with a big and swishy skirt. (I bought a figurine of Jasmine in Disneyland where she's got a big skirt on; it's definitely an exaggerated version of the skirt she wears during Jafar's takeover.) And then just thinking about this, I was like OH MAN, it would be the most hilarious thing to see Al attempting ballroom dancing, ha!! ha!! ha!! >xD

AND THEN IN THIS MEDLEY HE WAS BALLROOM DANCING

WHAT

SAY WHAT

AND IT WASN'T EVEN FUNNY AT ALL

The guy playing him didn't really look like Aladdin, though. So I say it doesn't count. :P

Also I was way too amused by guy who was not Zac Efron. xDD They had the cast of High School Musical singing "What Time is It?" with all the summer lyrics changed to Christmas lyrics (dumb), only they also had performers from the HSM show that makes its merry way through DCA, and I guess guy who was not Zac Efron was one of those, because he was most certainly not Zac Efron!! xDDDDD hahaha I just find it so amusing that they were all "LOOK EVERYONE! CAST OF HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL! WE HAVE THEM!! HERE!!!!!" and then they had to get other members of the cast to sing Troy's lines because Zac was apparently too cool to make it down to the Disney!

Wow I know way too much about this movie for someone who can only watch five minutes at a time. :X

Also I loved Regis' "Here's Cinderella and a prince!" and Ryan Seacrest's inability to read a teleprompter without making it obvious he is reading a teleprompter. Also how they kept advertising Block Party Bash like it was still going to be in DCA even though I found out last night that it is a-moving! And how they had the Disneyland Christmas parade (Giselle!!! <333 ) interspersed with the Parade of Dreams, I was so confused. :p (But augh, I had forgotten how much I love the Parade of Dreams music until I heard it again this morning. WELCOME TO OUR FAMILY TIME~~ hehehehe. xDD ) And how Disney is so amazing at advertising that often an advertisement for one thing would turn into an advertisement for another, I think in a way that was my favourite part of the whole thing. xDD And how they pretended like the concerts and the parades were going on at the same time, when if you know the traditional Disney park parade route in relation to the stages, such a thing would be very unlikely. ^^;

ALSO JACK AND BARBOSSA ON A FLOAT!!! xDDDDD

Also, oh man, Aurora and Philip had this way extravagant float and it was gorgeous and huge and blablabla and then right behind them, MULAN AND SHANG WERE WALKING.

WALKING!!!!!!

HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAA SHAFTED!!!!!

(I guess we should be grateful they got to be in the parade at all? xD;; )

Anyway, I am pretty well done with this entry, but I saved the best for last! xD Make fun of me if you want, but Miley Cyrus' Disneyland performance of "All I Want For Christmas is You" was pretty well the highlight of my day. <3 I mean, make fun of me if you want, but I really like her, and this song has kind of been growing on me over the past few Christmases, and this clip has such lovely views of Sleeping Beauty Castle (the fake snow has really grown on me, I must admit! at first I was like EW WHAT) and the Matterhorn and the Astro Orbitor and I dunno. It feels like such Christmas entertainment to me and I dunno. I love Disneyland. <333

adksgalksgdlhsadgk now I really want to go to a Disney park for Christmas, despite the fact it is pretty well the most busiest time of the year and I'll probably get trampled. xDDDD;

Man I wish this entry was coherent. OH WELL WHATEVER. Yay for this part of the parade running through my head all day. <3

I still want my Christmas back, though. :///

Miley Cyrus?

MILEY CYRUS?!?

Oh, how COULD you, Sarah! This was a charming entry until you got to Miley Cyrus. NOW I HAVE RAGE. I have zero love for Disney's (pre?)teen pop stars - it is my least favourite part of that company's cultural output. Besides, Zac Efron was probably too busy BEING LINK IN HAIRSPRAY to perform silly covers.
