I would really recommend it! It actually took me a while to get through it because some of the subject matter is a little depressing (and I don't know if you've read any of Valenti's other books, but this one is definitely more serious and more academic than the other two), but it's so worth it. It ties a lot of things together to show just how prevalent the whole virgin/whore dichotomy is. I should probably read it again at some point, it's really interesting.
