Oh, I was secretly hoping you'd leave me a nice big comment! XD
I'm a sucker for the predictable cheesy ending!
ME TOO! When people talk about how they're sick of happy endings, I don't even understand. The bittersweet endings one finds in anime are about as much bittersweetness as I can take!! But I think I'm accepting the ending of PotC3 pretty well ... At least it's not like in the anime Escaflowne, where the romantic leads separate themselves just because they're from different worlds or whatever. At least it's like, either Will is the captain or Will is dead. If I think of it that way, such a bittersweet ending is easier to swallow. ^^;
Will's tea party was classic.
Total agreement with your tea party comments. XD!!
Don't hate me! Hahaha. :P
Haha, I don't hate you! I'm not talking about her, anyway!! ^^;;;;
It seemed like organised madness in the other films- it was part of his charisma and charm.
100% agreed.
Here's a quote from a review I read today (http://www.aintitcool.com/node/32776): In AT WORLD’S END – we also get an answer about Jack Sparrow’s sanity. Jack is, in fact, insane. But he’s also a genius. He’s not straddling the fence, he’s very much madly mad and very much a brilliant genius. And I couldn’t be happier.
UGH NO. I hate the explanation for his oddities being "Oh, he's insane." I hate that explanation, I hate the lack of mystery it has, how easy it is. I love Jack in the first movie, where you never quite know what he's thinking, where you're not sure if he's brilliant or an idiot ... I never would have called him insane, though, and don't care for this idea. :( I also read a review (or an interview, I don't even remember haha) where Jack's line from the first movie, "The company is infinitely better than last time," is brought up to imply that the last time he was stranded by himself, the multiple Jacks were his only company. NO I HATE THAT SO MUCH!! If I wasn't talking about Tia Dalma, instead I probably wouldn't be talking about the multiple Jacks. :P
