I have never actually heard "dou itashimashite" used in conversation.

Last night I watched both Toy Story movies, and in the second one, when Al is on the phone with the Japanese businessman, he finishes the call by saying, "Don't touch my moustache!"

I NEVER GOT THAT JOKE BEFORE. And I remember asking my mom why he said that and she didn't know either. But last night I watched that scene and I was like, oh man, I can't believe they put that in, how many people even get that joke I wonder ... XD XD XD XD XD;;;

What's weird about watching all these movies I used to watch over and over when I was in middle school is that there are like whole scenes I can recite, or jokes that I had totally forgotten about that nevertheless are so familiar ... I enjoy watching these movies but last night watching Toy Story, man, I got so terribly nostalgic. Even besides the fact that my brother and I used to watch that movie over and over and over back when my brother still watched things with me. Just looking at all those '90s toys, I was like, wow! I remember that stuff! And I hope that if I ever have kids to show that movie to (my own kids or my brother's kids -- if you haven't noticed yet, I pretty well plan on raising his kids, I don't know how he feels about this XD ), they'll still be able to relate to it and stuff ... I hope they're not like, "What's a Mr. Potato Head?" as they go off to play with their robot dog, hahaha, or whatever. XD XD XD This is a ridiculous fear but man, last night it was bothering me so much. :X

(Also I think Toy Story is still the best of all of Pixar's full-length features, even if the animation isn't as gorgeous or whatever as more recent stuff. But man, in Toy Story 2 Andy's mom got a total makeover! What was up with that? Last night I read that Toy Story 3 is being made now. I wonder if they'll keep Woody's buffed-up arm, hahaha. I hope it's as good as the first two ... if the second movie was bad that would've been sad, but not all that surprising. If they really are making a third movie, I'd say it's got a lot to live up to!)

Haha, also, watching Toy Story again I realized how much my brother and I still quote that movie. XD Like, I knew we did, but I didn't realize how much we did. Haha, you guys, I never say anything original. It is all from Toy Story. xD xD xD

Actually, I think this is a hilarious story: the first time I watched Back to the Future was way after everyone else had already seen it, years after I'd seen Toy Story. When George McFly says he doesn't think he can take that kind of rejection? I was like, "OH MY GOD I KNEW HE'D SAY THAT" and I totally thought I was psychic. Not even! Rex from Toy Story uses some of George's lines. And that's why I knew what he was going to say. Haha. Not quite as exciting. XD XD XD XD

Now I am in the middle of the possum scene in A Goofy Movie, another movie I used to watch ridiculous amounts. Message to [livejournal.com profile] athena_crikey: Never watch this movie. If Seinfeld makes you feel embarrassed for the characters, A Goofy Movie would surely be worse. I actually really didn't like this movie the first time I saw it, for that reason -- it's like an hour and a half of people making fun of Goofy and destroying his dreams and the whole time you're like, urgh, stop it. This movie took forever to grow on me. But now I like it. But it's good that I'm watching it by myself, haha. Every time Roxanne is onscreen I'm like, "SADIRA!!!!!" XD XD XD XD XD
