election 2006 is teh suck

I am watching YouTube clips from Conan O'Brien and trying not to think about Stephen Harper.

It would be nice if CBC at least pretended we exist. I guess I shouldn't expect too much; the other day I filled out a survey that asked if I lived in "British Colombia." Oh yes.

Edit at 8:36pm: So it looks like Harper is the new prime minister. Which is a joke. But at least when he abolishes gay marriage and/or abortion, we might get another mention on The Daily Show.

Uh, so yeah.

The candidate I voted for in my riding didn't win. It's nice to see how much my vote didn't count.

Hey. If it makes you feel better, my vote didn't 'count' either. Also, Harper can't abolish Gay marriage, because he promised he wouldn't use the not-withstanding clause, and he can't do it without using it. So he'll have to be all "oh, oops, sorry, thought I could but I can't." Or break his promise, I guess. Also, I don't think he's going to make abortion illegal either. However, he is big on private healthcare. Which is what I'm worried about. Please, wreck 40 years of hard work establishing a public healthcare system that's at least mostly functional. >.< A.
